GET READY TO RACE
READY TO RACE SAFELY.
Check everyone’s eligibility, bring the right clothing and listen to your track team’s instructions.
BEFORE YOU GET IN THE KART.
- Who can race?
- Racers must be at least 10 years old and 140 cm tall, and weigh less than 120 kg. Karts have one seat; passengers cannot ride.
- What should you wear?
- Enclosed shoes and fitted clothing. Crocs, thongs and heels are not permitted. All racers need a balaclava: bring your own or buy one at the venue.
- How do you get ready?
- Arrive 20 minutes before your session to register. The track team provides a safety briefing, instruction and helmet fitting before racing.
- What happens on track?
- Follow staff instructions throughout the session. PowerPlay’s published safety information describes remote kart control, impact-absorbing barriers, full-face helmets and safety harnesses.
