Who can race, what to wear and when to arrive. Here’s what to know before you head to the track.

Bring enclosed shoes and fitted clothing, and arrive 20 minutes early to register. Your session includes a safety briefing, instruction and helmet fitting.

Can the whole family race together?

Yes. Adults and juniors from the same family can race together. Junior racers must be at least 10 years old and 140 cm tall. General adult and junior sessions are otherwise kept separate.

Do we need to book ahead?

Booking ahead is recommended, especially for weekends and school holidays. Choose your venue on the locations page to check its current booking availability.

What should we wear?

Wear enclosed shoes and fitted clothing. Crocs, thongs and heels are not permitted. All racers need a balaclava: bring your own or buy one at the venue for $4.50.

When should we arrive?

Arrive 20 minutes before your session to register. Your session includes a safety briefing, staff instruction and getting fitted with a helmet before you head onto the track.

How long is a race?

A junior race is up to 15 laps and an adult race is up to 18 laps, with a maximum of 10 minutes on track per race. The race ends when the lap count or time limit is reached.

Can younger children ride as passengers?

The karts have one seat, so passengers cannot ride. Racers must be at least 10 years old, at least 140 cm tall and weigh less than 120 kg.
